Cotton B.; Francis Annesley Esq.; Samuel Burroughs Esq. one of the Masters of High Court of Chancery; William Handbury Esq."; "Trustees of the Cottonian Library. This Plate being a correct copy of King Johns Great Chancer taken from an Original now remaining in the Cottonian Library is to them most humble dedicated... [wolne miejsce na kilka słów] by their most dutiful and most obedient humble servant". "J. Pine".

U góry po lewej stronie w ramce: "The arms of 25 barons the were to decide any dispute between the King and his subjects as they are preserved in the College of Arms". Pod tekstem: "Memorandum the Chef Iustice of His Majestys Court of Kings Bench for the time being is one of the Trustees of the Cottonian Library but that office is non vacant. The names of these barons are collected from M. Paris and other Historians and engraved as spelled in records preserved in the Tower of London". Dalej następuje informacja Dawida Casleya: "Deputy Keeper of the Cottonian Library" o oryginałach Magna Charta znajdujących się w Cottonian Library i relacji niniejszej kopii do oryginału. Następnie poświadczenie zgodności niniejszej kopii z oryginałem z dnia 9 maja 1733 [lub 1738].

Na dole pergaminu pod ramką, w którą ujęty jest tekst dokumentu: "Told by J. Pine engraver agalart [?] Little Britain in Aldersgater Street and by the Bookeelers of London and Westminster".
